History of the Vessel

The MV Sundance was built in 1973 and purchased by the State of Alaska in 1974. For 30 years she was used for as a research and law enforcement patrol vessel between Ketchikan and the Bering Sea.

In 2004 the MV Sundance was purchased and completely rebuilt and refitted for use as a custom research and charter vessel. In 2005 she began her first voyage as one of Alaska’s premier custom charter vessels.
